Junior Data Scientist

Our client, international company based in Barcelona is looking for a talented and skilled people with an interest in analytical models, cutting edge digital technology and desire to work in a flexible environment that fosters innovation. We have multiple projects where your skills could be used and challenged. The position is full time and based in Barcelona and collaborating with global teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

– Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs
– Testing and evaluating new programs
– Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications
– Producing clean, efficient code based on specifications
– Writing and implementing efficient code
– Determining operational practicality
– Developing quality assurance procedures
– Deploying software tools, processes and metrics
– Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
– Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts

Required Skills

– Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline or equivalent work experience.
– Basic understanding of business/Supply Chain
– Basic knowledge of statistics, database management and data science (Pandas, Python)
– Excellent communication skills with an intermediate or proficient level of English
– Knowledge of Python, Pandas, sqlachemy, Database & SQL.
– Travel to US or India up to 10% of the time may be required

Desired but not required:

– 1-3 years´ experience of similar role
– Knowledge of data science or willing to learn
– Clustering, classification and regression models
– Knowledge of IA or willing to learn
